Space and time to create, explore and grow with uninterrupted access to Northside Studio.

Access Times: 6am - 11pm

This residency is suitable for: 1. Artists at all career stages (age 18+ only). 2. All styles and forms. 3. Individuals or Groups/Collectives/Companies. This residency is particularly suitable for theatre, dance and physical theatre, as the studio contains professional vinyl flooring, full length mirrors and black out curtains.

It is expected that artists visit the studio at least every day of the residency during our opening hours of 6am-11pm. Artists are given a key and are free to come and go as they need.

This is an unfunded residency. Northside Studio's contribution is free venue time only. Successful applicants will need to cover any costs associated with the residency.

How To Apply:

You will need to have a project to apply with. The project can be a work-in-progress or a completely new idea. Please include your rationale, approach and intention, as well as an indication of the future life of the work.

Please include a list of key artists involved who will be present at the residency. Please include a link to a website, social media or other examples of a portfolio/previous work.

This residency is purely for development purposes and does NOT include a public outcome/presentation.

Successful applicants will need to possess public liability insurance.

Creative development for Inscape Assembly's new cabaret "GUILTY", performed as part of Anywhere Festival Brisbane 2024. Over 5 days, the collective held creative development of the script in preparation for the premiere season.
